Resigntion
Playbook & poster
A one-off design collaboration with BGSU student director Claudette Jones for her original stage production, Resignation. Set in the present day, the story follows a high school girl grappling with grief, identity, and the overwhelming weight of being. While grounded in emotional realism, the play weaves in themes of existentialism and physics, blurring the line between the known and the unknown. The poster and playbook were heavily influenced by sci-fi film aesthetics—moody color palettes, atmospheric textures, and stylized typography. One of the key visual choices was the use of extended tracking throughout the type, creating a sense of distance, disconnection, and quiet tension that mirrors the emotional core of the story.
